ROBOTIC CASE ERECTOR
Automatic case erector using a robot to pick and open a flat case, then transporting the case into flap folding and bottom sealing systems.
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICE DETAILS
- Case Magazine(s): Check prongs, escapements, and vacuum cups for wear; ensure proper seal. Inspect conveyor chain belt for wear, tension, and alignment. Verify air cylinders, actuators, and 90°/45° actuators for leaks and function. Check sprockets for wear. Clean and align sensors/photo eyes; confirm secure wiring. Inspect pneumatic lines for leaks, wires/cables for damage, and motors/gearboxes for binding.
- Carton Blank Pick Station: Inspect vacuum cups for wear and seal. Check air wall separators for damage or loose mounting. Inspect timing belt for wear, tension, and alignment. Clean sensors/photo eyes and verify wiring.
- Robot EOAT: Inspect pneumatic lines for leaks and clean vacuum filters. Clean sensors/photo eyes; confirm alignment and wiring. Verify air cylinders and actuators function. Check pivot linkage arm and concentric cam. Inspect bumpers and wiring.
- Gantry: Inspect timing belt for wear, tension, and alignment. Clean sensors/ photo eyes and verify wiring. Inspect pneumatic lines for leaks and clean filters. Confirm air cylinders and actuators function. Check vacuum cups for seal and motors/gearboxes for binding.
- Closing Section: Inspect belts for wear, tension, and alignment. Verify air cylinders and actuators function. Clean sensors/photo eyes and check wiring. Inspect tape head for function, tension, and blade wear. Check closing plow plates for damage and motors/ gearboxes for binding.
- Discharge Conveyor: Inspect belt for wear, tension, and alignment. Clean sensors/photo eyes and check wiring. Inspect rollers for wear, alignment, and free spin.
- Safeties: Verify functionality according to manufacturer specifications.
