Cradle to Cradle Certified^® Products from IPG

At IPG, our ongoing sustainability efforts are a top priority. Our brand is committed to developing sustainable packaging alternatives that meet the changing needs of the market, as well as customers who consider the environment in their decision-making.

Cradle to Cradle Certified® is a globally recognized and trusted, science-based measure that leads industry transformation towards a safe, circular and equitable future. Unlike many of the single attribute certifications available, it is a multi-attribute measure of sustainable products; the globally recognized certification assesses all aspects of product design and manufacturing and signals that the brand has made the commitment to continuous improvement for all products that carry the Cradle to Cradle Certified mark.

Cradle to Cradle Certified provides brands with the framework for considering the impact of their actions on the environment and the communities across their value chain.

As of February 1, 2022, IPG’s complete line of Curby Mailers are Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver. Curby Mailers are made from recycled (HD Mailer only) and recyclable paper and lined with an innovative honeycomb paper structure – a patent-pending cushioning material. The Curby Mailer was designed to replace and offer better protection than traditional polybubble and Kraft mailers.

As of August 2021, IPG’s Curby Fragile Wrap is Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver. Curby Fragile Wrap, formerly known as Hexcelwrap, is an innovative, patent pending paper-based cushioning material that consists of a honeycomb structure die cut into paper on a roll. When the paper is pulled and engaged, it is designed to provide a protective wrap for glassware, cosmetics, electronics, and anything fragile.

As of February 2020, IPG’s Natural Kraft Water-Activated Tape (also known as WAT or Gum Tape) was Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze. All of IPG’s WAT is recyclable with the carton it is applied on. Cartons are one of the most widely recycled packaging products in use today. When you use IPG’s WAT tape to seal the carton, the paper from the tape contributes to the recycling stream with the corrugate.

As of April 2024, IPG’s Bubble Packaging is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Silver. Durabubble is designed to enable stretch allowing it to be tightly wrapped around the contours of products, regardless of shape and size; protecting edges and sharp corners from damage. A nutrient management strategy for recycling is in place through store drop-off.

As of August 2022, IPG’s PaperSpace X-Fill is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Gold. X-Fill paper is designed to feed into the PaperSpace X-Fill Paper System, which produces three-dimensional cushioning and packaging void fill. The certificate covers: X-Fill Pro 1-Ply Void Fill Paper and two variations of X-Fill 1-Ply Void Fill Paper.

As of April 2024, IPG’s AirSpace Film is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. High quality air pillow film for use on any IPG’s Inflatable Systems. Comes in a variety of sizes and thicknesses. Available in custom tinted film and one-color print (registered print on each air pillow).

As of September 2021, IPG’s Clear Acrylic Carton Sealing Tapes are Cradle to Cradle Certified Bronze. IPG has undergone the rigorous process of qualification against a series of prescribed tests that evaluate these products’ material health, material reutilization, the measure of renewable energy consumed to create the products, stewardship of the water used in production and adherence to social fairness standards.

In October 2020, IPG’s SuperFLEX® and StretchFLEX® stretch films became Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver, becoming the first stretch wrap products to be Cradle to Cradle Certified! Stretch film is primarily used to secure pallet loads of products prior to shipment or warehouse relocation. IPG produces blown stretch film and cast stretch film in our modern stretch production facilities. This assures that we will have the right type of product to offer our customers, regardless of the application.

In July 2020, IPG ExlfilmPlus performance shrink films were Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver. ExlfilmPlus polyolefin shrink film is the first Cradle to Cradle certified shrink film in the world. Exlfilmplus films are crosslinked, providing customers with a stronger film capable of working on a wider variety of equipment and sealing systems.

As of September 2022, IPG’s Polyethylene (PE) Tape is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. IPG’s brand of Polyethylene Tape is manufactured with a PE (polyethylene) film backing designed to be moisture resistant and a synthetic rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive with UV inhibitors.

As of October 2022, IPG’s Intertape® and American® Brand Masking and Painter’s Tapes, in several color variations, are Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. These paper masking tape products are designed for superior performance in a variety of applications such as industrial and interior paint masking, holding, bundling, packaging and more.

As of October 2022, IPG’s Flatback Tape is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. Flatback Tape (pressure-sensitive kraft paper tape) is designed for superior performance in a variety of splicing, tabbing, and packaging applications. It provides a quick positive seal under a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions.

In August 2020, NovaShield Structure Membrane products were awarded Cradle to Cradle certification and became the first structure membrane fabric in the world to be Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze. NovaShield Structure Membrane products are used to construct fabric buildings for all climates. Featuring a patented weave which produces impressive strength-to-weight ratios, NovaShield’s lighter weight makes for easier, faster, money-saving installations.
